We did, too! That’s why we created our programs, to help coaches and consultants increase their clientele, income, and impact without feeling scattered.
When we first met, we played a game of 21 questions (well, with JoJo it ends up being more like 101 questions). We talked about what we wanted out of life, what our dreams were, and what our innermost desires were. Arfan wanted to climb the ladder at his job and JoJo was in school to become a Career Counselor. Like us, maybe the reality of your dreams turns out to be different than what you truly desired.
Although we were entrepreneurs at heart, we followed the advice of those around us to get a job, work hard, live below our means, and be content. But God has an awesome way of showing up and putting the right people in our lives to guide us to our purpose and calling.
It was in 2010 when JoJo was working as a Photography Studio Manager and a client told her, “You know that you are making this place a ton of money and they are only paying you pennies. Why don’t you have your own photography business.” Those words echoed for months.
After we discussed what the client said. We decided that we could make it work if we cut back on some bills and if the business started bringing in money quickly. So, in January 2011, JoJo made the jump and became a full-time entrepreneur. We were excited, energized, and ready to get out there and grow this business. However, we quickly realized that working hard and doing a bunch of different things like trying to sell to friends and family, handing out business cards, building a website, posting on social media, and having a great logo doesn’t guarantee success.
We were making less than $200 on a good month. Something had to change! Nearly a whole year went by and we had our first child. We were at a crossroads of having to go back to a 9-5 or doing something different to make our business work. It was a tough time financially living on one income and having a newborn. There were nights we ate peanut butter and jelly for dinner.
We didn’t desire to put our baby in childcare and to miss out on his precious moments. God is always faithful and the doors opened to work with a coach we were following for some time. Everything on the outside said to not do it, but on the inside, we knew we had to do something different and find a way to make this work. We found a way to find the money to invest with that coach.
Within one month our income grew 1200%.
Things were great. JoJo’s income was replaced. She didn’t miss out on being with our son. She had control over her schedule. But…
Years later, Arfan was still working his job. There were times he would leave home before the kids were up and come home just in time to say goodnight. He was missing out on those precious moments, having to deal with a high-stress job, and missing out on the freedom to do the things that brought him joy.
At this point, clients were already coming to JoJo asking for advice on how to attract clients, create their brand, and implement a marketing strategy to replace their income.

One evening after Arfan came home from work (later than expected due to traffic), JoJo shared with him her vision to retire him from his corporate job. JoJo shared her desire to help women build a strong brand and put together a marketing plan so they can grow their business and experience the freedom of no longer needing a 9-5.
Five months later, in October 2018, Arfan handed in his notice and didn’t look back.
After leaving his 9-5 Arfan used his expertise in performance and productivity to help entrepreneurs manage their time and create balance in their lives so they can get more done, avoid feeling overwhelmed, and reach their full potential.
We enjoy our days free to work whenever and wherever, spending unlimited time with our three kids, and helping our amazing clients package their skills and implement marketing strategies so they can experience freedom in their day.
